What was the highlight of Hotel A La Commedia Venezia

Comfortable and central for any stay in Venice.

It’s in a great location right near the Rialto Bridge so very central to all the sites in Venice (especially close to St Mark’s Square). The staff were very welcoming and assisted us greatly with canal tours and a private boat transfers. The room was larger than we expected and the bed and pillows were heavenly. The Commedia’s rooftop bar – it was a hotel highlight and a sanctuary from the crowds down below.

The breakfast buffet had fewer options compared to what we’d experienced elsewhere on our travels. There’s also a charge for eggs done any other way than scrambled.

Perfect location, immaculately clean. Fantastic stay.

Location was perfect. 2 minute walk to Rialto, 5 minutes walk to St Mark's Square. Hotel was warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean. Much better than the photos suggest. All staff were excellent. You will not be disappointed.

What was the highlight of Hotel A La Commedia Venezia

A pleasant and charming hotel, centrally-located with a rooftop terrace overlooking central Venice

The hotel is well-situated, close to a stop for both the airport water taxi and the vaporetto, so it is easy to travel from this area to anywhere else you need to go, but it is not in a heavily-trafficked spot so the front entry is calm yet easy to find. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room and the bathroom were, and by the amount of space. It is Venice, so it's not overly large, but it was comfortable and practical. The staff at the hotel were all lovely, helpful, and gracious. And the rooftop terrace had a perfect view for a final good-bye drink before leaving to the airport.

Immediately outside of my door was the door to the stairwell, and every time someone opened it to come through, it sounded as though they were about to come into my room, which was unnerving after first arriving and not knowing what all the noise was about, but it wasn't constant and quieted down. My first night I was then kept awake by multiple mosquitoes flying around my ear and then biting me. It took some time to find them to rid the room of them when I really could have used the sleep. Also, the shower curtains are very billowy, so when using the overhead shower, they ballooned into the shower space, sticking to me. I found it much better to use the handheld shower sprayer instead.

The location was perfect, the hotel was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar was an added bonus and the perfect way to end each day in beautiful Venice.

Wonderful staff, lovely hotel with great breakfast. Top location.

Excellent staff and location. The reception team booked our transfers to and from the hotel and provided a porter for our bags. We have huge bags from a long trip away, but the porter service was welcome even though the hotel is on level ground from the Rialto vaporetto / taxi docks.

Exceptional

Firstly, the hotel is located near the Rialt Bridge Ferry Terminal and is easily accessible from the central station by ferry. As toilets are scarce in Venice, it is convenient to have a hotel in a tourist area to go back to use toilet in the hotel. Secondly, the front desk spoke polite English in a way that was easy to understand. Some hotels often give one-sided explanations in barbs, but this hotel was polite.

Great hotel and excellent location

Location is excellent! The staff is really nice and caring! There was no kettle in the room, and the staff found me one (and tea bags!) very late at night. I super recommend it!

We were supposed to control the a/c in the room, but it did NOT work. We had to ask the front desk to control it from there, but evem then the room temperature was hotter than we expected.

Wonderful

First time visitors to Venice, booked hotel in Rialto area, excellent variety of shops & restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean, room space was somewhat limited, but understanding this is Europe, it worked, bathroom good with good quality towels. Water bus service was efficient and on time. Being close to Grande Canal, meant proximity to many restaurants and good retail outlets.

Superb location, within walking distance of everything worth seeing in venice. Staff was extremely polite and professional. Facilities were clean, no hidden unwanted surprises.
